5 Hotel Openings- And Re-Openings- We are Most Excited About Right Now

Some hotels manage the feat of creating a buzz before they are even open, and for these five properties below, that’s certainly true.

1. Zadùn Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Opening on the dramatic coastline of San José del Cabo in Mexico, this luxury retreat features 115 villas, many of them equipped with private pools, as well as Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residences. The place also boasts two championship golf courses and will maintain a botanical park with the desert flora.

2. J.K. Place Paris

Set in a former embassy building on rue de Lille in Paris, this hotel, in the chic 7th arrondissement between St-Germain-des-Près and the Musée d’Orsay, infuses its interiors with a sense of place. The furniture, commissioned from French designers, are one of kind, and antiques sourced from Parisian flea markets are the stuff of travel dreams. J.K. Place Paris also features a spa, a pool and an all-day Italian restaurant- Casa Tua or “Comme chez-soi” as the French would translate.

3. The Equinox New York

Built high above Hudson Yard, one of the most expensive and exclusive urban development across the world this year is the very first Equinox Hotel to open this side of the world. It’s a whole new way of seeing New York, through advance wellness and a holistic spa. Rooms, suites and public areas are modern and as bright and meticulous as they get, and the technology won’t disappoint any time soon.

4. Raffles Singapore

Even icons need a refresh, and the 131-year-old, colonial Raffles Singapore reopens its doors this summer. When it first opened, the property boasted 10 rooms. Today it’s an all-suite hotel, fresh and bright, with a colonial feel and plenty of 21st century tech. The hotel will open with 5 restaurants, 6 bars, a boutique, a spa and exclusive yoga classes out in the most beautiful gardens this side of the world.

5. Bairro Alto Lisbon

The chic yet bohemian Bairro Alto in the heart of vibrant Lisbon is where tradition meets irreverence at every corner. A member of The Leading Hotels of the World, the Bairro Alto sets the standards for 5-star boutique hotels in Portugal, but what you’ll really love about it is its architecture, and how elements have been preserved from iconic buildings of the 18th century. With its provocative charm, it also offers guests a superior and highly personalized service, always catering to their every need. Our advice? Don’t miss the sunset from the hotel’s elegant rooftop. The experience borders on the spiritual.
